Our Support Workers

Our support workers are reliable, friendly, skilled and above all passionate about delivering quality care and support. They are driven in what they do and always strive to do their work to the best of their ability to ensure they deliver the best possible service to all of our customers. All our staff are fully ‘police checked’ and receive a formal selection interview to establish their experience and their suitability for work. This is checked through the Criminal Records Bureau to make sure they meet Care Quality Commission Standards and two professional references are also obtained.

We include customers in the recruitment process. They have helped us to find the best Support Workers.

Support Workers receive mandatory training in the following subjects:

  • Safeguarding of vulnerable adults
  • Fire safety
  • Food hygiene
  • First aid
  • Health & Safety
  • Moving and handling
  • Administration of medication
  • Infection Control

Our Management Development programme helps people who want to develop a career in the sector. We ensure that our staff are trained to our customers' level of need. We also provide accredited in-house training from other professionals if required. Our staff have regular supervision meetings with their manager, at least every three months, and receive  an annual appraisal of their training needs. Supervisors will observe care practices at regular intervals (with the customer's permission).
